Countryside Road

There are times in our lives when we stand alone, feel scared, stressed out, and overwhelmed. We may not know how to make it through another day of being anxious, another day of feeling depressed, or another day of stressors. Sometimes the journey can be rough AND you do not have to do this alone. Our hope is to stand by your side and take the journey with you. We will challenge you, validate those tough feelings you are experiencing and help you reach personal goals established for yourself, your child, your marriage, or your family.

Individual Online Therapy

Individual Therapy is a great opportunity to have healthy conversations about your thoughts and feelings with a trained professional. It is a way to have moments of self reflection and to pause and identify your personal strengths as well as areas of weakness.  Therapy can bring about a great level of self awareness, understanding of unconscious behavioral patterns, and increased knowledge of how to navigate difficulties in your life.

Therapy also assists you in navigating tough situations and mental health symptoms that you may be experiencing. It is difficult to navigate and you do not have to do this alone!

Trauma- Informed Therapy

The impacts of trauma often cause us to feel like our thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences are out of our control. It can feel terrifying and difficult to navigate every day life. Although we can not erase that the trauma has occurred, we can assist in helping coach you through ways to manage trauma symptoms. We will assist in educating you on how and why your mind and body are responding to the trauma, as well as identify behavioral patterns you have adapted in order to survive these traumas. We will assist in teaching you and coaching you through ways to manage strong emotions, reduce instances of panic, and learn to train your body and mind to respond to perceived threats. Finally, we hope to help you move through your traumas and find peace from them.

Our therapists are trauma informed approaches and are ready to assist in processing through past/current traumas. Our therapists use a wide variety of evidenced based approaches to include: Trauma Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness Based Skills, Dialectical Behavioral Training (DBT) and Written Exposure Therapy (WET).

Military/Veterans Therapy

If you are in the military or are a veteran we are here to provide support in any way we can. We have knowledge of the rigid nature of the military and understand the difficulties many men and women face once reentering the civilian world, especially with moral injury. Or maybe you have been in the civilian world for quite some time and would like support in other ways.

We also acknowledge that "mission over self" and been your mindset for many years. We hope to help you take the first steps in putting yourself first. We hope to assist in coaching you through ways to express emotions and thoughts that you were asked to ignore. We  utilize trauma therapy to assist with PTSD and trauma symptoms that may have been received before, during, or after your time in the military.

Therapeutic Hikes for Grief

Grief is the price we pay for love. However, we do not have to move through grief alone. Our grief hikes provide the space, within nature, to honor and observe your grief. They are a time for reflection, ritual, meditation, and sometimes sharing. You will find a group of individuals, who are also grieving and understand what it is that you are going through. Tears are welcome. Each hike is led by a guide trained in grief response as well as CPR and Wilderness First Aid. We offer two hikes monthly with all ages welcome.

Therapeutic Hikes for Military/Veterans

Many veterans and military members struggle with emotional expression, connecting with others, moral injury, anxiety, PTSD, and more. We hope to provide a safe place, within nature, for veterans and military members to connect with one another and find support for their emotional wellbeing. We hope to also provide structure within the hike in which each person is able to reflect, story tell, meditate, and and learn new ways of managing emotions and stressors. Our hikes are led by a trained mental health professional as well as a veteran volunteer. Each guide is trained in CPR, military/veterans issues, and Wilderness First Aid. We offer two hikes monthly.

Adult Retreats for
Grief

Our retreats are created to promote wellness through grief and to assist with meaning making through the grief process. It is a time to grieve all the small and big losses that happened when your loved one died. We hope to assist you in moving through the pain of grief through several activities to include yoga, meditation, a hike with nature based rituals to honor your grief, daily journaling and guided lessons on grief. You will also receive a one on one moment with a therapist in order to make sure that you are able to get the most out of your weekend.

Children's Camping Retreats for Grief

Children are often invisible in their grief. People believe that because children often internalize their grief, or recover their emotions quickly, that they are not suffering in their grief. However, the way that children process grief is much different than an adult. They have many questions that go unanswered and they often are not included in grief rituals because of the fear that it may cause them more pain.  They even feel socially isolated from peers due to feeling different due to their loss. Our Grief camps assist children in finding normalcy in their grief. We help them have a fun weekend connecting with other children who are also grieving, while also learning creative ways to express themselves and honor their grief. We also provide a one on one session with families to assist them in helping their children grieve.
